Platform Policies & Agreements

Please read these guidelines and conditions carefully to understand your rights, responsibilities, and protections while using FurnitureKaro.

Important Notice

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding electronic agreement between you and Furniture Karo (Private) Limited under the laws of Pakistan including the Electronic Transactions Ordinance, 2002. By accessing or using FurnitureKaro, you unconditionally accept these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the platform.

1. Definitions

Platform

The website furniturekaro.com, its mobile site, and any associated applications operated by Furniture Karo (Private) Limited.

User

Any person who accesses or uses the Platform, whether registered or as a guest.

Seller

A registered User who posts listings on the Platform for the purpose of selling furniture.

Buyer

A registered or guest User who browses, contacts sellers, or makes offers on listings.

Store

A registered and verified furniture business, showroom, or brand on the Platform.

Listing

Any advertisement posted on the Platform by a Seller offering furniture for sale.

Content

Any text, images, descriptions, or other material submitted to the Platform by Users.

We, Us, Our

Furniture Karo (Private) Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2017 with its registered office in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.

2. Eligibility

Use of the Platform is subject to the following eligibility conditions:

You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority under applicable law in your jurisdiction
You must be legally competent to enter into a binding contract under the Contract Act, 1872
You must not be barred from receiving services under applicable Pakistani law
Persons who are minors, undischarged insolvents, or otherwise legally incompetent are not eligible to use this Platform
By using this Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements

Furniture Karo (Private) Limited reserves the right to refuse access to any person at its sole discretion without assigning any reason.

3. Platform Description & Nature of Services

FurnitureKaro is an online classified marketplace that facilitates connections between buyers and sellers of new and used furniture in Pakistan. You expressly acknowledge and agree to the following:

FurnitureKaro is a platform provider only we do not manufacture, stock, own, buy, or sell any furniture

We are NOT a party to any transaction between a Buyer and a Seller

We do NOT verify the accuracy, quality, safety, legality, or availability of any listing

We do NOT guarantee that any transaction will be completed successfully

We do NOT process payments, handle delivery, or provide escrow services

All transactions, payments, and deliveries are exclusively between Buyers and Sellers

We are a neutral intermediary and exercise no control over the conduct of Users

Disclaimer of Warranties

This Platform is provided on an 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' basis. We expressly disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

4. User Accounts & Registration

4.1 Account Creation

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
You must maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and current
You are solely responsible for all activities conducted under your account
You must maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials at all times
You must immediately notify us at contact@furniturekaro.com of any unauthorized use of your account
One person may not maintain more than one active account

4.2 Account Types

Individual Account

For private buyers and individual sellers. Listings go live instantly upon posting.

Store Account

For registered furniture businesses and showrooms. Store accounts require submission of verification documents and are subject to review and approval by FurnitureKaro before activation.

4.3 Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account at our sole discretion without notice if we reasonably believe the account is being used in violation of these Terms
We may terminate accounts that have been inactive for more than 12 consecutive months
You may request account deletion at any time by contacting contact@furniturekaro.com
Upon termination, your right to access the Platform immediately ceases

5. Listings & Content

5.1 Individual Seller Listings

Individual seller listings are published on the Platform instantly upon submission without prior review. By posting a listing, you represent and warrant that:

You are the legal owner of the item or are authorized to sell it
All information in the listing is accurate, truthful, and not misleading
All photographs are genuine photographs of the actual item being sold
The item is physically available and has not already been sold
The price stated is the genuine asking price
Any material defects, damage, or known issues are disclosed in the description

5.2 Store Listings

Store accounts are subject to verification and approval by FurnitureKaro before activation. Once approved, store listings are published subject to our ongoing moderation policies. Stores must maintain accurate inventory and promptly remove sold items.

5.3 Content Standards

All content must comply with applicable Pakistani law including but not limited to the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016
Content must not be false, misleading, defamatory, offensive, or obscene
Content must not infringe any third party intellectual property rights
Content must not contain personal contact information in listing descriptions
Stock photographs, internet images, or photographs not of the actual item are strictly prohibited

5.4 Prohibited Listings

The following listings are strictly prohibited and will be removed immediately:

Stolen, misappropriated, or illegally obtained furniture

Counterfeit, fake, or replica branded furniture

Items that are materially different from their description or photographs

Duplicate listings for the same item

Non-furniture items posted in furniture categories

Items prohibited under Pakistani law

5.5 Content License

By posting content on FurnitureKaro, you grant Furniture Karo (Private) Limited a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and use your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform, including use on social media and marketing materials.

6. Transactions, Payments & Delivery

FurnitureKaro does not process payments, handle deliveries, or act as an escrow agent. All transactions are exclusively between Buyers and Sellers. FurnitureKaro bears no liability whatsoever for any aspect of any transaction.

All payments are made directly between Buyers and Sellers outside the Platform
FurnitureKaro is not responsible for any payment disputes, fraud, or non-payment
FurnitureKaro is not responsible for delivery, damage during transport, or non-delivery
Buyers are strongly advised to inspect items thoroughly before making payment
Buyers are strongly advised to meet sellers in public places for cash transactions
Buyers are strongly advised never to transfer money in advance without verifying the item
Any dispute arising from a transaction must be resolved directly between the Buyer and Seller

7. Offers & Negotiations

The Make Offer feature allows Buyers to submit formal price proposals to Sellers
Sellers have no obligation to accept any offer and may accept, reject, or allow offers to expire
An accepted offer constitutes a mutual understanding between Buyer and Seller FurnitureKaro is not a party
FurnitureKaro is not liable if either party fails to honour an accepted offer
Buyers may resubmit offers after rejection at a revised price
Only one pending offer per Buyer per listing is permitted at any time

8. Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on the Platform:

Creating fake, duplicate, or impersonation accounts
Posting fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive listings or content
Harassing, threatening, abusing, or intimidating other Users
Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or other Users' accounts
Scraping, crawling, or extracting data from the Platform without written permission
Using the Platform for money laundering or any illegal activity under Pakistani law
Circumventing or attempting to circumvent any security feature of the Platform
Sending unsolicited bulk messages to other Users
Posting content that violates the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 or any other applicable law

9. Verified Stores

The Verified Store badge is granted at the sole discretion of FurnitureKaro following review of submitted documentation
Verification indicates that FurnitureKaro has reviewed basic business credentials it does not constitute an endorsement of product quality or business practices
FurnitureKaro reserves the right to revoke verification at any time without notice if the Store violates these Terms or our Store policies
Verified Stores are solely responsible for all listings, communications, and transactions conducted under their account

10. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

Important Legal Disclaimer

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. FURNITURE KARO (PRIVATE) LIMITED EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

To the fullest extent permitted under the laws of Pakistan, Furniture Karo (Private) Limited shall NOT be liable for:

•Any loss, damage, or harm arising from any transaction between Users
•The accuracy, quality, safety, legality, or availability of any listing
•Any fraudulent or misleading content posted by Users
•Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your account or data
•Any technical failure, downtime, data loss, or interruption of service
•Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any nature
•Any loss of profits, revenue, business, or goodwill

11. Intellectual Property

The name 'FurnitureKaro', its logo, and all Platform content including design, graphics, and software are the exclusive property of Furniture Karo (Private) Limited
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or intellectual property
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without written permission
Any unauthorized use of our intellectual property may result in legal action under applicable Pakistani law

12. Privacy & Data Protection

We collect, store, and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform you consent to our data practices including:

Collection of registration information for account management
Collection of listing data for Platform operations
Collection of usage and analytics data for Platform improvement
Use of third-party advertising and analytics tools for marketing optimization
We do not sell your personal data to third parties

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan
These Terms are subject to the Contract Act, 1872, the Electronic Transactions Ordinance, 2002, the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, and the Companies Act, 2017
Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall first be referred to amicable resolution through direct negotiation
If amicable resolution fails within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan
You agree to waive any objection to the jurisdiction or venue of such courts

14. Modifications to Terms

Furniture Karo (Private) Limited reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time at its sole discretion
Modified Terms will be posted at furniturekaro.com/terms with an updated effective date
For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered Users via email
Your continued use of the Platform after any modification constitutes your unconditional acceptance of the revised Terms
If you do not agree to modified Terms, your only remedy is to discontinue use of the Platform

15. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Furniture Karo (Private) Limited regarding use of the Platform
These Terms supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings
