How to Delete Your Furniture Karo Account
You can initiate an account deletion request through our Android Mobile Application or directly through this Web Portal.
- 1Open the Furniture Karo app on your Android device.
- 2Sign in to your account if not already authenticated.
- 3Navigate to Profile / Account tab and tap Settings.
- 4Select the "Delete Account" option.
- 5Review the deletion warning and 7-day grace period details.
- 6Tap "Proceed" to submit your request.
- 7You will see immediate confirmation and receive a confirmation email.
- 1Visit this page (https://furniturekaro.com/account-deletion).
- 2Sign in using the "Sign in to Request Deletion" action above.
- 3Optionally provide feedback or a reason for leaving.
- 4Check the acknowledgement box for the 7-day grace period.
- 5Click "Request Account Deletion" and confirm the modal.
- 6Our server registers the request and schedules final retirement.
- 7A confirmation email is dispatched with the finalization date.
7-Day Cancellation Grace Period
Reversible safety window before permanent retirement
When you submit a deletion request, your account is not immediately erased or permanently deleted. Instead, your account enters a server-controlled 7-day pending deletion period.
Your status changes to pending deletion. A confirmation email is dispatched to you.
You have exactly 7 days to change your mind. Signing in during this period cancels the deletion request.
After 7 days pass without cancellation, the account is permanently retired and authentication access is closed.
Data Deletion and Retention Policy
Transparent disclosure of what is deleted and what is legitimately preserved upon account retirement.
- Authentication Credentials: Password hashes, login tokens, and active session authorizations are revoked and permanently banned.
- Email Address Released: Your original email is unlinked from the retired account identity, allowing you to register a fresh, clean account in the future if desired.
- Push Notifications: Mobile device tokens and browser push subscriptions are permanently purged.
- Private Profile Access: Personal profile dashboard and account settings are closed permanently.
- Marketplace Integrity: Historical listing metadata and past transaction records are preserved to prevent marketplace fraud, abuse, and account churning.
- Dispute Resolution & Safety: Past message threads and chat histories involving other active users remain intact so other buyers and sellers maintain their communication records.
- Tombstoned Association: Retained records reference an anonymous retired identifier and cannot be accessed, modified, or used by the retired user.
- Dispute & Report Records: Past user reports and moderation history are preserved for platform safety and community protection.

How to easily cancel a pending deletion request
If your account is still within the 7-day deletion period, you can cancel your request through either of the following simple steps:
Simply sign in to your Furniture Karo account on the mobile app or website. Our authentication system will detect the pending deletion, automatically cancel it, and restore your account to active status.
Sign in on this page and click the "Cancel Deletion Request" button in the online status panel above to reactivate your account immediately.
What Happens After I Request Deletion?

Request Received & Confirmation Sent
Your deletion request is recorded in our system. You receive an automated confirmation email detailing the request timestamp and scheduled finalization date.
7-Day Cooling-Off Grace Period Begins
Your account is marked as pending deletion for 7 days. During this time, you have the full right to change your mind and cancel the request at any point.
Final Retirement After 7 Days
If the request has not been cancelled by the end of the 7th day, our automated system completes the final retirement process.
Authentication Credentials Retired & Email Released
Login access is permanently disabled. Your old password and active sessions are revoked, and your email address is freed so that it can be used for a new registration in the future if you choose.
Marketplace Integrity Preservation
Historical records necessary for fraud prevention, safety audits, and dispute resolution are securely archived under a retired identifier.
